Front Desk Receptionist

We have a need for a Lead Receptionist at a company located in Downtown NYC. This is a Temp to Hire position.

Job responsibilities include:
•Ensure that the reception desk is fully staffed and functioning during the specified hours;
•Keep the front desk and lobby areas neat and organized (this includes responsibility for any newspapers and magazines ordered for the lobby areas);
•Project a highly professional manner at all times, representing Customer in a positive fashion;
•Greet and register visitors to Premises.
•Create new employee or visitor badges.
•Contact and arrange for the appropriate host to meet their visitor in the lobby;
•Answer the phone professionally, responding to general questions and inquiries and transferring calls as needed;
•Respond to inquiries from internal and external customers regarding such issues as local services and local amenity information;
•Where required, schedule and manage the booking of meeting rooms, hospitality and equipment
•Liaise and co-operate with security personnel, contacting them for security breaches and problem situations pertaining to the company policies.
•Initiate emergency procedures as warranted by and consistent with assigned location emergency response guidelines once trained on, by Customer.
•Maintain lobby supplies, including newspapers, periodicals and beverages;
•Be responsive to service requirements and maintain Landlord Work Order system once trained on, and provided access by Customer;
•Maintain the employee directory once trained on, and provided access by Customer;
•Perform ongoing administrative support functions as mutually agreed as time and skill level permits;
•Maintain confidentiality and professional integrity at all times;
•Encourage the reporting of concerns to the NYC facilities e-mail Help Desk and by other appropriate routes.

Candidates must have
•Have a working knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Outlook and MS Excel and the internet;
•Have strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate in English (both verbally and in writing);
•Have strong customer service skills and experience and the ability to multi-task;
•Represent Customer by maintaining a professional and courteous attitude and appearance at all times;

Minimum 5 years elated Reception experience
High School Diploma or GED
Punctual, Professional and Reliable
Basic MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook skills.

Will pay up to $22 per hour based on experience.
