Position Summary
Provides psychotherapy to Behavioral Health Clients.
- individual therapy.
- Leads therapeutic groups.
- Accurately document client attendance and participation within designated policy timeframes.
- Maintains departmental productivity standards.
- Maintains JCAHO standards and DMHAS specialty regulations, Medicaid Regulations, and HBH policies & procedures.
- Maintains standards of licensing board.
- Applies best practice models (CBT, DBT, Solution Focused Therapy) in a 12 Session Model
- Forms therapeutic alliance with clients ensuring appropriate boundaries, ethics, and application of program rules
- Uses knowledge and skills to provide appropriate care to age of client
- Utilizes interventions that are best practice
- Promotes wellness and recovery
- Maintains group agendas for all groups
- Consistently demonstrates accurate documentation of all clinical activity
- Completes all documentation within 24-72 hours of contact
- Documents communication with community agencies, clients, families, PCPs and other relevant team members
- Documents according to program and regulatory policy
- IAPs will represent the clients goals for treatment and their movement toward attaining goals every 90 days
- Comprehensive assessment is reviewed at least every 90 days and updated to indicate progress in treatment, new problems, and goal attainment
- Understands and applies all regulatory policies. Reports problems to

- Assures all documentation follow regulatory and program policies
- Adheres to all license regulations
- Understands and follows all licensing rules, codes, and ethics regulations
Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Required:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling or related field
Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):
Required:
1-3 years of experience in the related field
License, Registry or Certification:
Required:
Professional License—LPC, LCSW, Psychologist – NO LMFT; no LSW
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required:
Knowledge of the DSM-5, De-escalation Techniques, Individual and Group Therapy expertise. Training and expertise in brief therapy models of treatment.

Director Outpatient Clinical Services; Coordinator Day Hospital or Coordinator of Outpatient Services or Coordinator of Access Program
