Location: East Patchogue, NY
- Reports to: Administrator/Director of Nursing

- Schedule: Early mornings, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday – Friday some Saturday flexibility (you can offset this Saturday with a weekday off)

o Must be an active NY RN
o Previous experience in ASC is preferred
o GI or Endo experience is ideal, but not required
o Bi-Lingual Spanish required/highly preferred
o Acute care experience necessary
o Hands on clinical role, must have experience on the floor (may take staff assignments from time to time)
o Prior leadership experience is required, a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position
The Charge Nurse will be responsible for daily clinical staffing and the efficient flow of patients through the Endoscopy experience. The Charge Nurse will participate with recruiting, hiring and evaluating all nursing personnel. As Charge Nurse, the Charge Nurse will participate in the Endoscopy Center CQI, Infection Control, Risk Management and Safety Committees. The Charge Nurse will also be responsible for ensuring that all physicians and staff comply with all clinical policies and procedures. The Charge Nurse will assist with organizing/managing all manuals and studies necessary for continued certification and accreditation and maintaining the appropriate documentation as evidence thereof.
What you will be working on:
- Determines and schedules appropriate staffing assignments to support the flow of patients through the procedure area, keeping in mind patient care needs and budgetary constraints. Discusses any aspect for changes in staffing with the Director of Nursing/Administrator.
- Provides leadership and expertise in performing clinical skills and serves as a mentor/trainer for other nursing staff (as a group or one on one as required) to improve existing or to teach new skills.
- Monitors the daily flow of patients and implements changes to improve the operational efficiency of the center. Utilizes the proper component of resources while maintaining a high-level of customer service. Conducts on-going utilization studies to improve efficiency.
- Provides onsite expertise to others for the software dictation system, assisting the Physicians and staff in learning the system and troubleshooting problems. The Charge Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the final product of the physician’s dictation is complete.
- Ensures compliance with all clinical policies and procedures and discusses any problems with physician or staff compliance with the Director of Nursing/ Administrator.
- Conduct periodic staff meetings in conjunction with the Director of Nursing/Administrator. Plans in-services for the clinical staff that expand their knowledge of GI procedures, and the equipment used during these procedures. In-services are planned at least three months in advance.
- Assists Director of Nursing/Administrator with the development of clinical studies, manages all CQI studies within the Center and the required documentation and submits data to the Director of Nursing so that benchmarking data can be integrated into our overall benchmarking initiatives.
- Maintains an “expert” knowledge level on all equipment in the procedure area
- Functions as a working charge nurse, taking on the role of admitting nurse, procedural nurse, or recovery room nurse.
- Additional duties as assigned
What you’ll know:
- A successful applicant must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- BS or equivalent
- GI experience preferred, preferably in an ASC or GI Suite
- Current NY state RN license
- BLS Certification, ACLS preferred
- Familiarity with state, Medicare and accreditation requirements (JCAHO/AAAHC preferred).
- Proficient in computer programs including Excel and Word, and prior experience with billing systems/software.
(Child) Psychologist
Location: Philadelphia, PA
- Must be a licensed psychologist
- Need experience working with children (5-18; or up to 21 with special needs)
- Doing evaluations on children
- Flexible hours – need to be able to coordinate with patients parents on what times work; can work from home, will have an office to go to for visits, doing a lot of school visits
- Bilingual Spanish is preferred but NOT required
- $62 hourly
- NO BENEFITS FOR THIS ROLE; they will have sick time
- Will be advising occasionally with the clinical supervisor and counselors
Expected Duties and Essential services functions:
- Evaluation services to clients in accordance with facility, licensing and third party payer standards and procedures. These services may include, but are not limited to, interviews with the client, family, medical and educational professionals, and the administration and interpretation of standardized psychological assessment tools.
- Consultation services for clients by corresponding and communicating with individuals who have a meaningful relationship with the client. These individuals may include, but are not limited to, the client’s family, the treatment team of mental health or medical professionals, school personnel, legal or social services representatives working on behalf of the client, and other personnel as designated by the Director of Children’s Services.
- Psychotherapy services to the clients to increase their emotional health and adaptive functioning. These services may include, but are not limited to, individual, group and family psychological counseling
- Prompt and accurate documentation of all work with clients
- Prompt and accurate documentation of his/her invoices for services
- Abides by the professional licensure standards of the state in which he/she holds a license to practice psychology
- Abides by the ethical guidelines of the American Psychological Association, whether or not he/she is a member of that organization
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree from an accredited psychology graduate training program
- Independent licensure in good standing as a psychologist.
- At least two years paid experience providing child/adolescent mental health or addiction services.
- Maintain current professional liability insurance in the amounts as required by the agency, licensing agent and third party payers.
- Member of at least one professional organization devoted to psychology or child/adolescent mental health and mental health care.
- Current and valid Pennsylvania psychology license in good standing.
- Valid Child Abuse (Act 33) (when applicable), Criminal History, and FBI clearances (when applicable).
- Participation in and completion of all CBH mandatory in-services (must be completed within three (3) months of hire and annually from the date of the initial training).
